Congratulations, Ross!

Please join Horne Coupar LLP in extending our best wishes to Ross Manson, who has officially retired!  Ross has been an esteemed member of the firm since the mid 70’s, when he was first hired by Ian Horne, QC, and began his articles. Ross graduated with Honours from Simon Fraser University in 1970 and followed with a LLB from the University of British Columbia in 1974, joining Horne Coupar LLP in 1975.

Over the years, Ross provided the firm with specialized counsel in the areas of commercial lending, real estate and corporate law.  He was also occupied with the development of an in-house, software program called PaperLaw, which was used in our corporate and conveyancing departments for many years, and is still used by some of our staff to this day!  Ross, a renaissance man, was also called upon, from time to time, to put his considerable carpentry skills to use in various office projects.

Ross was involved with the Oak Bay Soccer Association for many years, and has served on the boards of the Victoria Bar Association and the Garth Homer Society.  Once active in anything remotely considered a sport, Ross now focuses his time on golf and some doubles tennis.

We are grateful for his decades of contributions to the firm as its senior member and are very excited for Ross as he enters the next chapters of his life.
