The legal landscape for estate planners is evolving, and the issues involved in preparing for the future have become more diverse and complex than ever before. As such, it is vital for lawyers in this field to gain a solid understanding of the evolving issues and discuss potential approaches and opportunities to structure and implement estate plans that meet their clients’ needs. Our associate, Caroline Deane, is part of the faculty delivering the Estate Planning 2022 conference. This conference will assist lawyers to stay current on the recent developments and challenges faced by estate planners today, to discuss estate planning and taxation issues.
On January 28, 2022, Caroline will be presenting at the virtual Estate Planning conference, and will be covering the following:
- Options for structuring ownership
- Tax considerations
- Co-ownership issues and agreements
- Planning for successive generations
Caroline’s practice focuses on assisting clients with wills, corporate, trusts and estate planning needs with an emphasis on taxation. She and Partner, Paula Bosenberg, authored the chapter Wills, Trusts, Estates and Adult Guardianship for the 2019 Annual Review of Law & Practice, a publication of the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia. Caroline has been a long-time member of the Canadian Bar Association and is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation.
Congratulations Caroline! Your experience will be a valuable contribution to this event.
