John has been practicing law with Horne Coupar LLP since 1983, principally in the areas of wills and estate planning, incapacity planning, probate, estate administration, and related fields.
A member of the firm’s Inheritance and Incapacity Planning Group, and the Estate Planning Council of Victoria, he is a frequent guest lecturer, and enjoys helping clients plan for the future.
Born and raised in Victoria, John graduated from the University of Victoria with degrees in Philosophy, cum laude, and Law. He works closely with families to ensure their needs are being met, and prefers a common sense approach to estate planning. As a second generation lawyer, John considers Horne Coupar LLP a family firm and is keen to carry on the family tradition.
John’s greatest loves are his wife Jennifer and their two beautiful daughters. When not practicing law, John is a composer, sports enthusiast, a keen student of science , and a community supporter. John is also a huge animal lover.
