Alan was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, and raised in British Columbia. He moved to Victoria in 2007 and attended the University of Victoria in 2011, where he completed his undergraduate degree in Political Science with a minor in History. In 2014, Alan was accepted to the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Law where he completed his first year of law school before completing his Juris Doctor with Co-op designation at the University of Victoria in December 2017. Alan successfully completed his articles with Horne Coupar LLP and was called to the British Columbia Bar in January of 2019. Prior to 2011, Alan enjoyed a career as a local class 1 truck driver and service technician.

Alan loves spending his free time with his beautiful wife Kelly and their 2 boys. When not at work or with family, Alan can usually be found on the ice trying to keep pucks out of the net.
