Alan was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and raised in British Columbia. He moved to Victoria in 2007 and he and his spouse quickly fell in love with all that the Island has to offer. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in History at the University of Victoria in 2014 and, in 2017, obtained his Juris Doctor with Co-op designation from the University of Victoria. He successfully completed his articles with Horne Coupar LLP and was called to the British Columbia Bar in January of 2019. Prior to 2011, Alan enjoyed a career as a local class 1 truck driver and services technician with a local BC window manufacturer.

Following his articles, Alan quickly realized how much he enjoys estate work, assisting clients with their planning and litigation needs. Alan takes a practical and pragmatic approach to his practice. He has appeared successfully in both the Provincial Court of British Columbia and the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

When not in the office, Alan can be found enjoying time with his beautiful wife Kelly and their three active boys, or at the rink precariously between the pipes.
