Alan was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and raised in British Columbia. He moved to Victoria in 2007 and quickly adapted to Island Living. His first career was on the open road as a class 1 driver and service technician with a local window company. In 2011, Alan attended the University of Victoria and completed his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in history. He was accepted to the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Law and, after completing his first year of law school in Calgary, transferred back to Victoria where he obtained his Juris Doctor with Co-op designation from the University of Victoria. Alan completed his articles with Horne Coupar LLP and was called to the British Columbia Bar in January of 2019. Alan has sat on various boards, and currently sits on the CBA Young Lawyers Victoria executive board as Law and Policy Liaison.
Alan is interested in assisting clients with real estate conveyancing, estate and incapacity planning, and estate litigation with a focus on applications in the course of estate administration. Alan takes a practical and pragmatic approach to his practice and is ready and willing to take matters to court if necessary. He has appeared successfully in both the Provincial Court and the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
When not in the office, Alan enjoys spending time with his three active boys and stopping pucks in various leagues and rinks around the city.
