This worldwide organization includes present members such as Patagonia, MEC and singer Jack Johnson. Each year members donate 1% of their gross profits to the organisation for the benefit of local environmental causes.

The firm is proud of the many accomplishments achieved by the local organizations which it supports each year through 1% funding, and its clients can also share in that pride, knowing that a portion of their fees are going to worthy causes.

A private celebration took place on Wednesday, October 4th at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria.

Over the past ten years funding has been provided to many local organizations including the following:

SeaChange
Serenity Farm (via John Howard Society)
Pacifica Housing
Peninsula Stream
Greater Victoria Compost and Conservation Society
Creatively United for the Planet
Growing Young Farmers
Pacific Salmon Foundation
Rocky Point Bird Observatory and Habitat Acquisition Trust
Sierra Club
Watershed Watch Salmon Society.

Guests enjoyed a tour of the gallery to include the Emily Carr ‘Picturing the Giants’ exhibition featuring natural landscapes and sponsored by Horne Coupar.
