Associate Counsel

Pat Johnson

After many years of handling estate planning, wills and estates for her clients, Pat has now decided to focus only on the corporate and trust areas of her practice.

Pat has extensive experience in dealing with incorporated professionals and their governing bodies (medical doctors in particular) as well as other incorporations, corporate reorganizations, amalgamations, continuations, and dissolutions. Pat also assists corporate clients with shareholders’ and cost sharing agreements where needed.

Corporate reorganizations often involve the introduction of a trust into the corporate structure and Pat regularly assists clients with the creation of trusts. Pat works closely with clients’ accountants to implement the tax planning objectives proposed by them.

She has practiced in Victoria since 1984, joining Horne Coupar in April 2013, where she works with other lawyers in the firm, so that the advice clients’ receive with respect to their wills and estate planning continues to dovetail with advice regarding any relevant corporate law issues.
